An extremely well cared for and highly original late coach-built Mark VI Bentley by HJ Mulliner. Being built in 1952 it has all of the engine and chassis improvements of the later Mark VI. The car has lived in the Bristol area most of it's life, and I am the third owner having bought the car from Daniel Moore, who are specialists in post-war 6-cylinder Bentleys. The timber frame and bodywork was extensively restored in 1996-1999 by TT Workshops, and consequently the structure of the car is extremely sound and very well preserved. No expense has been spared in it's maintenance, with an A4 box file detailing this since the late 1950’s. Recent work includes rebuilding and powder-coating the entire front suspension and spring mounts, 4 new Continental tyres, and a new clutch 1500 miles ago, a stainless fuel tank, fuel pump overhaul. A stainless exhaust is fitted. The original interior was restored 2 years ago, the hide re-connolised and the carpets replaced. The chrome was replated when the body was restored, remains in fine condition and the interior wood is excellent. All of the tools both large and small are present with the original handbook. The car has just completed 1300 faultless miles touring in Europe averaging 20 mpg. It has fitted luggage with the original keys and unusually a Tambour door to secure it. It is comfortable, elegant, robust and easy to maintain, and extremely reliable. I shall be sorry to see it go.
