2004 BUELL XB9R FIREBOLT - £6,495
Founded in 1983 by ex Harley-Davidson engineer Eric Buell and powered by Harley Sportster engines Buell motorcycles were a diversion from the traditional Harley-Davidson model line up however Harley acquired 49 percent of Buell in 1993 and by 2003 Buell became became wholly owned subsidiary. By 2009 some 137,000 Buell motorcycles had been built before Harley discontinued the brand which was relaunched in 2021. The XB series went into production in 2002 with the all alloy beam frame, an innovative design it housed the fuel in its main spars and oil in the swinging arm. With the geometry of a 250cc Grand Prix bike and a radical new front brake design the bikes soon became a popular and very left field choice. This Buell XB9R Firebolt was purchased new in April 2004 from Warr's Harley-Davidson in London. The bike was kept by a collector and has only covered an astonishing 252 miles ! Powered by a fuel injected 984cc 45° V twin engine this example remains in excellent condition and has just received a full service and check over in our workshop. It is totally stock with no modifications and is supplied with an owners handbook, a parts book and UK registration documents. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase an effectively ‘new’ Buell XB9R Firebolt.
