This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 - Collectors Cars on Saturday the 23rd of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN. The Ferrari 458 Italia was first officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, and was the replacement for the F430, in the mid-engine, V8-powered model range. In keeping with Ferrari tradition, the body was designed by Pininfarina under the leadership of Donato Coco, Ferrari's Design Director. The car's exterior styling and features were designed for aerodynamic efficiency, producing a downforce of 140kg (309lb) at 200km/h (120mph, the front grille, for example, features deformable winglets that lower at high speeds, in order to offer reduced drag. The 458 is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine from the ‘Ferrari/Maserati’ F136-engine family, producing 562bhp and 398lb.ft torque at 6,000rpm with 80% torque available at 3,250rpm. The engine also featured direct fuel injection, which is a first for Ferrari mid-engine set-ups in its road cars. The car's suspension features double wishbones at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear, coupled with E-Diff and F1-Trac traction control systems, designed to improve cornering and longitudinal acceleration by 32% when compared with its predecessors. The brakes include a pre-fill function whereby the pistons in the calipers move the pads into contact with the discs on lift-off to minimize delay in the brakes being applied. Ferrari's official figures claim 0–62mph takes 2.9 seconds, the top speed is 210mph, and a power to weight ratio of 5.75lb per horsepower. On offer here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive 458 that had only covered 8,508 miles from new at the time of cataloguing. It was delivered to its first owner, a Mr Micah Richards, via Stratstone Wilmslow in Cheshire, on the 16th March 2012. Classically finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero leather interior, it has been enjoyed by three former keepers and has formed part of our vendor's private collection over the past few years, having purchased it from main dealer, Dick Lovett. The specification is impressive, and full details can be provided upon request but it does include ‘Daytona’ style comfort seats, front suspension lift, Apple Car Play and much more. The Ferrari service history is also impressive and is detailed below, with the most recent earlier this year, ensuring that the car is ready for its next lucky owner. Boasting a full PPF wrap, the Ferrari remains in fantastic overall condition, with fresh carbon brakes and tyres, and has been stored in a temperature-controlled bubble whilst in current ownership. This stunning 458 is a testament to Pininfarina’s design, ageing well since production began back in 2009. This represents a fantastic opportunity to own a low mileage 458 Italia at a guide that looks irresistible, especially when you consider the value of some of its contemporaries from the same era.
