He commenced a full body-off restoration in 2018 and the chassis was fully stripped, cleaned, repaired and repainted. Naturally, the suspension and brakes were rebuilt at this point The 2,912cc straight-six (150bhp when new) was rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, alternator and starter. HD8 carbs were overhauled and a Toyota 5-speed gearbox was added The body was stripped of its gel coat and repainted in Aston Martin California Sage.
