1968 MGC ROADSTER - £18,995

LTU 275G was built from the 29th August to the 12th September 1968 and left the factory in British Racing Green with Black trim, Black hood and wire wheels. The car was supplied new as a North American Export and the car stayed in the USA for 25 years before being registered here in the U.K in 1993. Very much an older restoration, during the early 2000's LTU 275G was in the Sandbach area of Cheshire and was used for participation in local shows and rallies. We first sold this superb driving MGC Roadster back in 2013 to one of our customers in Harrogate who had covered 3000 miles in the car and kept it superbly maintained throughout ownership. When we sold the car in 2013, the car was an excellent, strong driving car and we further enhanced with by fitting a re-conditioned overdrive gearbox, new engine mounts, fitted a new speedo cable and fully serviced the car. Over the 11-year period of ownership in the region of £10,000 has been spent on high quality upkeep, maintenance and improvement. This includes regular servicing and improvements to include new door capping's, new hood and later folding frame, new tonneau, new inertia reel seat belts and new Continental tyres. Mechanical work includes a new water pump, re-conditioned radiator and thermostat, new brake master cylinder and larger brake servo, various new brake pipes and a set of brake shoes, new flexible fuel pipes to carbs, new core plugs, rear main oil seal, new clutch kit and re-skimmed flywheel. All invoices are on file and come with the car. We recently sold the car to a new local customer to use as a weekend roadster throughout the summer months. Before receiving the car, the MG had a full service and tune up of the carbs, a coolant flush, new rear brake cylinders, new rear axle straps, and some wiring improvements along with a new indicator stalk. We welcome the MG back into stock in part exchange for a Bentley saloon for the winter. Our MGC is a fantastic driver, it performs incredibly well on the road with a strong, fit and healthy engine holding very good oil pressure, and the overdrive gearbox functions perfectly with nice changes throughout the box. The car handles and performs very well and offers a fun, enjoyable and very reliable driving experience. All these years on since restoration, the body is straight and structurally excellent, the BRG paintwork has good bright finish and with chrome wires and a new hood the C looks very smart. The upholstery is well presented with Black leather with Green piped seats, carpets are very good and the wooden dash is very 1960's. The C has a smart, tidy engine bay with excellent inner wings and the underside of the car is excellent.
