Triumph Spitfire MK2 1967. MoT'd until 25.07.26. Tax exempt. Imported from Arizona in 2017, UK registered and all taxes paid. Believed to have three previous owners. Bodywork and chassis all original and in remarkably good condition, with no evidence of damage, except for a few very small dents on bodywork. Never welded and requires no welding. The vehicle has been resprayed once, the original colour was Royal Blue, some of the original paint has been revealed and I believe a significant amount of the original paint could be saved because the resprayed paint is very thin and the original paint doesn’t appear to have been sanded prior to being resprayed. The former owner told me the engine has been reconditioned, although I have no documentation to verify this, I have inspected the cylinder bores and they display recent honing marks. I have overhauled the front suspension with new bushes, bearings etc. I have also overhauled the brakes with new flexible hose discs pads and rear shoes etc. New radiator. This is a good original car, the new owner will have decide how far to take it. However, it would be good to see it kept as original as possible, I can’t imagine there is another early Spitfire in as good and original condition as this one. I do have the American style hub caps to go with it.
